Sri Lanka Itinerary | July 3 to 5, 2016

Hi everyone! Good morning! It's Monday once again and I'm kind of "this Monday mood." Yessss, I'm honestly a bit lazy today but trying here not to be one! >_<  =P
Anyway, here's a post sitting on my drafts for quite a looooong time. I made this when we were planning our honeymoon trip to Sri Lanka and Maldives before our wedding last 18 of June, 2016. I showed this to my manager (now my husband) for final approval. Again, I told him, I'm the planner and he'll be the GPS on the day! Awesome teamwork! ^_^
This post is also for  my husband, asking me to post something on my blog! LOL! I love you, my king! I will update this post again, or just make a new one with pictures of our lovely honeymoon in Sri Lanka! :)
We honestly enjoyed Sri Lanka! It was a very good combination ~ the Maldives and Sri Lanka honeymoon!
We need: A car and a place to stay in Dambulla. :)

Colombo Airport going to Kandy

I think, not so much things to do in Kandy. We won't going to sleep here or might also skip to visit.

Colombo Airport going to Dambulla

We're thinking to stay in Dambulla for the rest of our stay in Sri Lanka. (Quite far in the airport though) :P

Colombo Airport going to Sigiriya

Another option is to stay is Sigiriya.

I definitely would love to see this with my fiancé!!!

Sigiriya, The Lion Rock

Sigiriya is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning. It is the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka.

According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure —Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock.

Minneriya National Park

We choose this park since online reviews are much, much better on this place than Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Additionally, this park is near the Sigiriya, The Lion Rock.

I would love to have an elephant ride with my husband though, if possible. :)

Hikkaduwa Beach

We might skip this beach since we'll be visiting Maldives after Sri Lanka.

We would definitely love to visit again in the future and meet some cute, huge turtles and be under the sun of one of the beach in this beautiful country of Sri Lanka. :)
