How to go to Bintan, Indonesia from Singapore?

1. Turn to Exit B, from Tanah Merah MRT station.

2. Go to the bus stop, it's only few steps away from the mrt,  and take Bus 35. The TMFT (Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal) is only 4 stops, 6.2km away from the bus stop.

Insider Tip: If you love nature, you'll enjoy the short bus ride going to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. You will also see some airplanes flying very near.

The view on the way to TMFT. :)
3. Go inside the terminal and collect the boarding pass from the company where you bought online your tickets. In our case, Bintan Resort Ferries.

Insider Tip: Weekend is extra full. Be early and do check-in as soon as you have your boarding pass.

4. Proceed directly to the Departure Hall. Immigration is waiting for you. Be sure you have your passport, boarding pass and IC/embarkation if you're a foreigner.

Insider Tip: There's a toilet, coffee place and vending machines at the end of the hall, after the immigration. Make sure to use them all if necessary. Travelling to BBT (Bandar Bentan Talani/Lagoi) is 45 minutes, and to Tanjung Pinang is 1.45 hours. Duty Free and some souvenir shops inside too.

5. Check which gate you need to enter. The board in the middle will tell you which boarding gate you need to enter, and if it's already boarding time. Do check once in awhile.

Insider Tip: You will need your boarding pass twice before the entrance of the ferry.

6. Make sure your ferry is the one going to your destination. Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal have different ferries travelling to Batam, BBT and Tanjung Pinang. :)

Do let me know if you have any questions. Safe trip and enjoy the ferry ride! Don't forget to take a lot of photos. Happy holidays! :)

PS. Once you're back after your Bintan holidays, the same bus stop where you alight going to TMFT is the bus stop to Tanah Merah MRT station, bus number 35M.
